Studio Pomegranate was established in 2013 by Shweta Shah and Pranav Naik with a strong commitment to integrated collaborative design. We are continuously seeking out opportunities to improve and enhance our design process, ensuring the growth and development of all individuals involved in our projects. Our aim is to ignite and nurture the passion of our collaborators, whether it be in finding purpose in design, serving the community, sharing knowledge and experience, or harnessing the potential of new software applications.

One of the fundamental principles that guides our work is environmental appropriateness. Sustainable design forms the foundation for every decision we make, ranging from orientation and material selections to systems options. We strive to understand the complete life cycle of a building, enabling it to adapt to changing programs and needs.

Shweta Shah holds a Master of Architecture degree from Savannah College of Art and Design, specializing in Digital Architecture. She is also the author of the publication 'Digital Urbanization of a Potter's Colony: Slum Redevelopment, Dharavi, Mumbai.'

Pranav Naik earned his Master's degree in Architecture from Taliesin, The Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture in the USA. With extensive experience in projects of various scales, Pranav possesses valuable hands-on knowledge of constructing buildings and shelters. He uses a bicycle to travel around Mumbai, and Bangalore, and is a seasoned hiker in the Sahyadris, a rock climber, and a certified advanced open water diver. While he was a studio mentor at a couple of city institutions, Pranav has also delivered lectures at institutions such as the Centre for Science and Environment, IES College of Architecture, Rachana Sansad's Academy of Architecture, Rizvi College of Architecture, and the School of Environment and Architecture.
